OPENSTREETMAP TALK

OpenStreetMap is a free editable map of the whole
world. It is made by people like you.

Speaker Bio:
Russell Nelson feels like a computing greybeard but is in fact cleanshaven. He cut his teeth on the LIRICS
PDP10 in the early 70's in Baldwin. He still fondly remembers HRRL and JRST, and other assembly language
opcodes, but has graduated beyond C to Perl, Python, and PHP. He is a founding board member of the Open
Source Initiative, and at one point had GPL'ed code running on more CPUs than RMS. He currently works
for Cloudmade as an OpenStreetMap Community Ambassador, helping to create mapping communities.
