I have a job opening for 6-months with potential to go permanent for one of our clients’ downtown NYC, they are looking for a Systems Administrator/ Engineer for Red Hat Linux server environment. Working alongside a talented team, will architect, build, and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers running on Intel hardware, deploy and support mission-critical web applications for the businesses, running on WebLogic and JBoss platforms. Will also design and support clustered back-office computing environments on internal networks.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science and/or related field or equivalent experience
Technical Requirements:
• Must be able to work 95% of the time on the UNIX / Linux command line
• Working knowledge of the following Protocols and Standards: HTTP, SSL, CGI, iSP, NFS, LDAP, NIS
• Significant experience supporting the technical components used in enterprise Internet applications
• Strong problem-solving and analysis skills
• Ability to analyze a problem at a system level and determine the root cause at a technical (detailed) level
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly to solve technical problems
• Ability to interact with non-technical colleagues and communicate issues in layman’s terms
